Just as soldiers on the battlefield are assessed and certified for marksmanship, cyber warriors must be educated and put to the test to evaluate and refine their skills. With a comprehensive cyber warrior curriculum, commanders and CIOs can educate their personnel through a wide range of exercises at increasing levels of difficulty to evaluate expertise and certify capabilities, using both pre-built and customized war-game scenarios.
BreakingPoint SCOUT curriculum trains and arms cyber warriors
Developed using battle-ready cyber tomography machines, BreakingPoint SCOUT (Simulated Cyber Operations and Unified Training) couples our cyber range products with a standardized curriculum in order to train and arm functional cyber warriors for any military branch or enterprise. Combining self-paced training and hands-on cyber range exercises, BreakingPoint SCOUT empowers personnel at both public and private organizations to defend critical IT infrastructure and military communications networks while remaining firmly grounded in DoD standards. Students begin with cyber boot camp, covering the fundamentals of network security, application security, cyber attack theatre, and standards frameworks and methodologies.
BreakingPoint SCOUT curriculum was built to introduce students to the fundamentals of Information Assurance (IA), recognized by the U.S. Military as the front line of cyber defenders. Additionally, the training program also trains personnel with disparate missions such as Information Operations (IO), and ultimately, advanced Mission Assurance (MA).
- BreakingPoint SCOUT-IA: BreakingPoint SCOUT IA curriculum provides comprehensive basic, intermediate and advanced instruction in the architecture, testing, deployment, protection and maintenance of modern networks, data centers and applications.
- BreakingPoint SCOUT-IO: Upon achieving IA certification, students follow the IO path and gain exposure to the strategy, fundamental concepts, major components and methodologies of both offensive and defensive IO.
- BreakingPoint SCOUT- MA:Advanced students will progress into MA fundamentals in order to learn the skills necessary to ensure that DoD mission-essential functions continue under all circumstances. This includes mastering MA fundamentals, mission assessment methodology, situational awareness and mission correlation, and continuity of operations planning.
