Join Us at RSA 2011: See the Latest from BreakingPoint for Yourself

For the past few weeks I’ve been playing the role of stage manager for a show that’s almost ready to host its premiere. Next week I’ll be one of the two dozen BreakingPoint “cast and crew” onsite at the RSA Conference in San Francisco. (You might want to make a note that we’re in booth #951.) As you have seen from the news this week we plan to show off some remarkable products at the show.

At RSA, we will have several of our security experts and engineers on hand to demonstrate and discuss the innovations they have been working on. Throughout the week, we will also have a daily lineup of educational presentations in our booth theatre — many of which will be led directly by our customers.

Read on for more details about the themes we’ll be focusing on and the presentations we’ll be delivering — as well as how you can access our presentations even if you can’t make it to the big show.

Themes

This year, our booth and presentations will be focused around four major topics:

  1. The BreakingPoint FireStorm CTM — We announced this breakthrough device on Tuesday, and we’d like you to be among the first to see it in action in our booth. If you are at RSA, be sure to stop by to witness its unbelievable performance and capabilities -- including 120 Gbps of real-world application traffic and the ability to simulate 90 million simultaneous users. If you can’t make it to RSA, follow this link for a demo of this product now.
  2. The world’s first certification standard for network and data center device resiliency, introduced by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) — This just-announced standard, UL 2825, responds to recent and pending cyber security legislation that requires the certification of network and security devices for performance, stability, and security. We will have UL executives in our booth as we discuss and demonstrate how UL plans to validate vendor claims and certify network equipment, and why they standardized this process on BreakingPoint products.
  3. The BreakingPoint Storm CTM’s role in the evolved cyber range — These Internet-scale simulation environments are vital for enabling cyber warriors within government, military, and enterprise organizations to defend critical infrastructures. We will have our team onsite to demonstrate the BreakingPoint Storm CTM's features and capabilities, including the Lawful Intercept Lab, our library of 4,500+ security strikes, live malware simulation, evasions, and the Application and Threat Intelligence (ATI) updates that keep our product current.
  4. The BreakingPoint Resiliency Score — We debuted the Resiliency Score, which enables scientific, vendor-neutral grading of network and security equipment, at RSA in 2010. This year, we will be demonstrating the easy-to-use Resiliency Score Lab, which allows your organization to determine the performance, security, and stability of any network or data center under real-world conditions of attack and application load.

Presentations

Join us for daily discussions on the use of cyber ranges within the enterprise, how-to sessions on the BreakingPoint Resiliency Score, and live presentations with several BreakingPoint customers, including Juniper, McAfee, SonicWALL, StoneSoft, Crossbeam, and Fortinet. These companies will be going over some of the latest developments in the industry and explain how they are using BreakingPoint innovations in their work.

If you are attending RSA, be sure to stop by booth #951 and meet some of our team. If you aren’t able to attend, don't worry, because we will be offering updates via Twitter, Facebook, and video posts here on the blog — as well as a live stream on our RSA conference page so that you can check out our schedule of events and watch our presentations in real time. [UPDATE, 15 February: We're not streaming for now, because we're having trouble with the audio from the show floor. Given the size of our booth and the size of the crowds, there's too much background noise for live streaming. We do, however, plan to record presentations throughout the week and post the videos to the blog.]

I hope you’ll be there when the curtain goes up on our big show next week. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below.
