4G World 2011 Video: City-Scale LTE Network and Mobile Malware Demonstration
by Trish BenfordNext week the BreakingPoint team will be in Chicago for 4G World 2011 to introduce new LTE and mobile malware capabilities and demonstrate how service providers can optimize and harden the resiliency of wired and wireless networks. In BreakingPoint Booth #1228, attendees can watch a single BreakingPoint CTM create the real-world behavior of more than 10 million mobile users—greater than the population of the Chicagoland area—as they stream, talk, text, and spread malware.
Massive Scale and Cost-Effective LTE Testing
I sat down with Scott Register, Director of Product Management, to talk about the testing capabilities BreakingPoint will show and why they are so important for carriers that are rolling out LTE services. Please check out the video as Scott discusses several aspects of mobility testing including:
- Stressing each element of an LTE/4G infrastructure under real-world conditions, with millions of customers using hundreds of applications.
- The need to test LTE systems’ handling of harmful traffic such as mobile malware, malformed packets, and DDoS attacks.
- BreakingPoint’s new mobility testing API that enables real-time emulation of subscriber data usage for validating accounting and control capabilities of LTE equipment.
- How BreakingPoint’s mobility testing solutions have dramatically reduced the costs of LTE testing to just pennies per mobile device.
If you are attending 4G World 2011, be sure to stop by Booth #1228 to watch our live demos and find out more from Scott and other members of our team.
