Des Wilson

Des Wilson, Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer and a member of the BreakingPoint Board of Directors, Des Wilson brings more than 20 years of leadership and a strong track record of building high growth technology companies. Before joining BreakingPoint, Wilson served as CEO at Axel Johnson Inc., a $3 billion privately owned corporation with interests in the technology, energy, and environmental sectors. Wilson’s knowledge of the network and application test industry was developed over the course of a 14-year long career at Hekimian Laboratories Inc., a leading supplier of network management and test systems for telecommunications service providers. Wilson was ultimately selected to lead the company as Chief Executive Officer. Under Wilson’s leadership, the company was acquired by Spirent Communications, and Wilson was appointed President of the Spirent Service Assurance Division.
Dennis Cox

Dennis Cox, Chief Technology Officer

Dennis Cox co-founded BreakingPoint in 2005 and serves as its Chief Technology Officer. A respected authority on content-aware networks and network equipment testing, he is responsible for the technical direction and product development efforts. Cox, who has 15 years industry experience in bringing high performance network devices to market, is also the author of numerous patents on various topics including IP Spoofing, Denial of Service to Network Processors, Dynamic Construction of Packet Classification Rules, and Multi-level Packet Screening. Over the past 15 years, Cox has developed various network tools and technologies, including IPS and DSL devices for organizations such as TippingPoint/3 Com and NetSpeed/Cisco. After growing frustrated with the lack of effective testing products, he made the decision to innovate a new generation of high performance, application-centric testing systems to meet the needs of content-aware network equipment manufacturers. As an expert in the fields of application and network equipment testing, Cox is a frequent contributor to online technology publications and a regular speaker at technology events.
Craig Cantrell

Craig Cantrell, Chief Operating Officer

As co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Craig Cantrell heads up the hardware and software engineering teams for BreakingPoint. In this role, he oversees product development and quality, application and security research, manufacturing, customer service, and operations. Prior to joining BreakingPoint, Cantrell served as Vice President of Development for TippingPoint, a leading provider of Intrusion Prevention products. There he led development of the industry’s first multi-Gigabit Intrusion Prevention family of products. Cantrell has held leadership positions in numerous high tech organizations including Cisco, NetSpeed, and Interphase Corporation.
Jim Cahill

Jim Cahill, President

As co-founder and President of BreakingPoint, Jim Cahill is responsible for the company’s financial operations. Before BreakingPoint, Cahill served in a variety of roles at TippingPoint, including Chief Financial Officer, Vice President and General Manager of the Federal Business Unit, and Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to establishing TippingPoint, Cahill served in various leadership roles including Vice President and General Counsel for Netpliance. He was also an attorney with the Hughes and Luce, LLP law firm where he specialized in corporate and securities law representing companies involved with securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and technology related transactions.
Keith Brewer

Keith Brewer, Vice President of Hardware Development and Operations

Leveraging more than 23 years of engineering design and management experience, Keith Brewer leads the development and manufacturing of BreakingPoint’s high performance application and network equipment testing systems. Brewer has an impressive track record of bringing high speed network products to market for companies such as General Bandwidth, Cisco, and NetSpeed. He holds numerous patents in packet switching technology and degrees in both electrical engineering and computer science from Rice University.
Stephane Johnson

Stephane Johnson, Vice President of International Sales

Stephane Johnson leads BreakingPoint’s growing international sales team which includes direct sales support offices in the United Kingdom, France, Israel, and China. Johnson was most recently Vice President of Business Development at Symmetricom's QoE Assurance Division. Prior to Symmetricom, he served in senior executive sales, business development, and international sales management positions at Spirent Communications/Netcom Systems, where he ended up managing a worldwide sales team of 250 employees with sales of $350 million. Johnson significantly grew and improved the company's sales, support, and partner programs working with companies such as Cisco, Alcatel, ATT, Verizon, France Telecom, Deutsche Telecom, BT, NTT, and China Netcom. Johnson's experience also includes sales positions at Phillips Communication, Experdata, and TITN. He received a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
Jim Alnwick

Jim Alnwick, Vice President of North American Sales

Jim Alnwick is a senior sales executive with more than 20 years of success in developing worldwide sales organizations in the telecommunications industry. His experience spans the spectrum from building a sales department from the ground-up and taking sales for a startup from $0 to multiple millions in just a few months, to streamlining and developing new strategies for Fortune 100 companies while booking upwards of $250 million in revenue. When implementing his overall sales strategy, Alnwick adheres to his strength in team and channel development while properly defining and executing sales strategies. Prior to joining BreakingPoint, Alnwick served as Vice President of Monitoring Sales with Empirix and before that Worldwide Sales Manager for Agilent. Alnwick has also helped build successful sales processes and organizations with Hekimian (now Spirent), HP and Harris Corporation. He recieved his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Adelphi University's School of Business.
Pam O'Neal

Pam O’Neal, Vice President of Marketing

Pam O'Neal oversees global marketing for BreakingPoint including brand strategy, integrated marketing programs, press and analyst relations, and regional field marketing. Her goal is to further increase both awareness and demand for BreakingPoint’s growing product portfolio. An award-winning marketing professional, O’Neal has more than 18 years of experience using advanced techniques and proven marketing frameworks to develop programs that make an immediate impact on revenue. Previously, O’Neal served as Senior Director of Marketing for NetQoS Inc., the fastest growing network performance management company in the industry. She has led marketing for successful, high growth startups and public companies including Pervasive, Ventix (now Motive), Ineto (now Siebel) and Concero. O’Neal is a published writer, instructor, and frequent speaker at industry conferences.
