BreakingPoint High Performance Application Test Products Added to General Services Administration Contract
BreakingPoint included in the General Services Administration contract (number GS-24F-0066M) via an exclusive partnership agreement with Technical Communities Inc.
Austin, TX – April 7, 2008 – BreakingPoint Systems, Inc., a leading provider of high performance application testing systems, announced today their inclusion in the General Services Administration contract (number GS-24F-0066M) via an exclusive partnership agreement with Technical Communities Inc. The agreement authorizes Technical Communities to provide U.S. government agencies, military organizations and prime federal contractors with the BreakingPoint BPS 1K and BreakingPoint BPS 10K products, service agreements and warranties.
The BreakingPoint BPS-1000 and BPS-10K are the industry’s first application and network testing systems that provide all of the components required for today’s complex, dynamic, and high performance test environments in a single, easy to use system. Only BreakingPoint products generate a realistic blend of business, recreational, and malicious application traffic at speeds up to 10 Gigabit per second to effectively test next generation networks and network equipment. BreakingPoint products can be used to generate up to 16.8 million unique attacks in 24 hours and 750,000 DDOS attacks per second for the most effective security testing.
“Government organizations are under intense pressure to ensure applications and networks meet extremely stringent requirements for performance and security,” said Des Wilson, CEO of BreakingPoint. “Until BreakingPoint, there was no testing platform that could emulate authentic network traffic at the speeds necessary for the government’s high performance computing initiatives. With this GSA contract, government buyers can streamline the purchase of BrakingPoint products and ensure their networks operate securely at the highest levels of performance.”
BreakingPoint products are under General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) managed by Technical Communities, which will provide content, transaction, marketing, sales support, and reporting services around them. Technical Communities also will provide presentation and order processing through the GSA’s e-commerce web site, www.gsaadvantage.gov, and the company’s own online marketplaces, www.gsamart.com, www.testmart.com, and www.navicpmart.com.
